Like many of you, I consider myself a "jerky" afficianado who has tried so many different brands over the years as well as homemade. With J&K, I finally found one that will keep me from buying the others.
IMO, the taste with this one is absolute perfection. Tender, spicy, sweet, chewy, and not over salted like many other brands. It's hot enough to keep you from eating the whole bag in one day, yet so good that you'll keep wanting more after your first piece (after your mouth has recovered from the heat).I was mostly eating Jack Links Sweet and hot jerky (which is still my second fav) until I decided to try J&K.
Only downside is cost. They are more expensive than the others per oz. If you can get past the higher price, I believe you'll also love it.

Definitely spicy.
This beef jerky is very spicy, with some sweet flavor added. I ate one piece of this, and I can still feel the pepper after thirty minutes of eating it. And the texture of the meat is not hard, but soft and tender. My only con is that the sweet flavor is too much, and for a 7-ounce bag, it’s too pricey.
