    Was tasked to re-screen the patio, using only an electric staple gun. This was not cutting the mustard. This tool was an awesome find and priced below what I expected to pay. Worked great straight out of the box (after oiling). The add lists as oil free (or something like that). If you're new to air tools: unless you have an "oiler" connected to your compressor, oil this tool just like any other pneumatic tool. You will find this info in the manual. Slap to the hand Arrow, I found the add info a little misleading. I digress... 5-Star, great buy! Manual suggests running at 60-100PSI, my compressor wouldn't hang at 100 and after dropping the PSI down to around 90, I was concerned there wouldn't be sufficient pressure(stapling to many times painted PT lumber). This was not the case, I have only run about 2k staples though the tool but no jams, tweaked staples or failures. Compared to other brand named nail and brad guns I own, this tool looks to be built as well and performance wise, is as much fun to use.

    I would not recommend this for busy production shops or construction work. Small jobs, etc... great!

    I have two manual T50 staplers and one electric Stanley stapler, which I hated so much that I decided to buy this air stapler for a large insulation project I just started.

    So far, after about 1500 staples, it has stapled nearly flawlessly with only a single misfire using Arrow T50 1/4" staples and set at approx. 60-65 psi, while stapling standard kraft paper insulation facing into regular SPF framing.

    HOWEVER, I also have at least 200-300 staples strewn across the floor due to the design of the magazine release lever on the back. If you are climbing up and down a ladder and quickly grabbing and setting down the tool, it is SUPER easy to accidentally bump the magazine release lever, causing it to fling open and dump staples on the floor. I've been using it for only 2 days now, and I've accidentally bumped it at least 15 times, either while picking it up in a hurry or by bumping the rear of the tool on the ladder. That release lever is HUGE, and it's like a hair-trigger... super light touch will open it.

    I looked at their other air guns (brad and pin nailer), and they also have this design. I noted this is also a new design for them, as well. Their older models did not have such a large, prominent, and "hair-trigger" magazine release lever. From the one photo shown on this page of the older model, it looked much like the "standard" release button you'd find on other manufacturers' guns.

    I own 7 or 8 nail guns, brad nailers, and narrow crown staplers, and none of them have this design. They either have "protective sidewalls" on either side of the magazine button or require a firmer push on a smaller button that isn't highly exposed.

    I'm actually surprised to not see other mentions of this issue, but I'm guessing most users aren't stapling hundreds of staples at a time. I'll just have to slow down and be more careful with the gun. My other guns are also heavier and larger, so I think my problems with this are a combination of factors in the comparative designs of competitor guns. Just have to get used to this one having a much different design to the more standardized magazine release designs.

    The Arrow PT50 is an excellent little staple gun.
    Much better than any corded version I've tried.
    It takes readily available 140 type / T50 staples, that can be found almost anywhere.
    The quick connector is (I believe) 1/4" NPT. An American fitting which is not compatible with any UK fittings.
    It can be replaced with a 1/4" BSPT Euro fitting, but the thread pitch is not identical, so a good wrapping of PTFE is required and do not tighten up hard, as the taper may cause damage to the socket.
    A better bet is to get a 1/4" NPT to 1/4" BSPT adapter and then use the 1/4" quick connector of your choice.
    I choose to use PCL XF fittings as they are high quality and compatible with the Euro fitting commonly found in the UK.
