The most convenient way to get low frequency bass in your system is to drop-in a Punch loaded enclosure. We're not talking junk in the trunk, we're talking the same genuine Punch woofers available separately.
The P3-2X12 is dual 12” Punch P3 DVC subwoofers in a Rockford Fosgate built vented enclosure, with a power handling of 1200 Watts RMS and wired to a 1-Ohm load.
Rockford Fosgate’s Punch loaded enclosures are constructed with durable 5/8" MDF and tuned by our computer aided design software to ensure quality sound and high output. Punch P3 loaded enclosures feature similar tonal performance as P2 & P1 models, but with the highest power handling capacity and dual voice coils to deliver bass you can feel!
The Rockford Fosgate precision-built enclosure and Punch subwoofer make the P3-2X12 an ideal solution to quickly and easily add serious bass to your system. Just wire it to your existing compatible amp and hear the boom!

Great speakers, but........
Bought these speakers influenced mostly by reviews. I was considering JL's, Sundown Audio etc. The dilemma was if I bought the other subs, what box would be needed? Pre fabbed crap, or custom made. Rockford Fosgate engineered the box for these specific subs, therefore they should be the best option. Took about a week and a half for the speakers to "break in". New speakers are stiff and don't sound as good as after they have been broken in. But now they sound amazing. Got a PPI 7000 pushing around 2000 watts and an MB Quartz 1600.4 pushing components in the doors and it sounds amazing. I would definitely recommend these subs.(Update) After a year of use with the PPI I was driving down the road and one day the amp would cut out. It sounded like the speakers were disconnecting as I was driving. Turned out that the speaker terminals were melting within the plastic enclosure and ended up touching, shorting out my amp. I took pictures and sent multiple emails to Rockford fosgate but they never responded. I ended up having to send my amplifier to manufacture and have it repaired. It only cost me $120 to fix, but the principle here is that Rockford fosgate didn't even respond to the email. I ended up having to drill new holes at the speaker terminal housing far enough away from each other so they wouldn't touch and I filled in the holes that they were initially in. Other than that the speakers are great with those two instances kinda killing it.
