I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It’s simple to understand and the diagrams are very helpful. Great reference material to keep around at all times. I loved how SENSICAL and rational it is, and that it explains the common misunderstandings. I really feel like I learned a lot!

I know most people roll their eyes and ignore the compass school part of the book, but that’s actually what led me to rate this five stars. The reason why I wanted to get into Feng Shui in the first place was because my spiritual teachings called for it! So I was actually not that interested in form school but I still paid 100% attention and i’m glad I did because i learned a lot. the two are supposed to be worked together. I guess for the regular person learning just the form school portion is fine but if you’d like to explore a little further I’m glad this book covers it too!!

there is no appendix, which is disappointing, and the author’s website is really ghetto and I couldn’t find any classes. I would’ve appreciated a “further reading” section with recommendations because I trust Cathleen’s opinions. I’ll just have to go through it again and look up the references.

All in all, great beginner book that will have you inspecting every place you set foot in to see how the feng shui is. Definitely recommend.

We are able to do this within our fairly tight budget, too thanks to the various suggestions we have found in . She explains how to figure out the most important things to do as we start. I can truly say that it makes a huge difference. My husband and I both feel better as we implement as.many of the a suggestions from this resource e-book. Room by room, space by space inside and outside, we can feel our relationship(great already) start to gently change for the better. We have new friendships, New greater abundance growing, our close relationships without grown kids and US friends are getting even stronger, we have found a coop that deliversnorganic, locally.grown.vegesand comforts, our health seems to be improving gently (we both have Multiple sclerosis plus I.had resistant Lyme that's Finallynresponding to the treatment after seven years, and so far the rest of me is better more of.the time. I am even sleeping more soundly.
About a dozen years ago I studied online to obtain greater skills and certification in both landscaping and interior design (and in decorating, earlier.) I have done Fung Shui work previously for myself and clientele. I sure wish I had owned this book when I was well enough to help others!
I can say with absolutely no exaggeration, how well written, useful, complete I am confidential treasure of a resource book.and a good way to make your home and garden feel great and support you profoundly. I’ve been studying Feng Shui by reading different books and attending classes taught by people who have been practicing and studying Feng Shui for a few years. I enjoy hearing different perspectives. Although this book has a lot of good information, I feel like it disregards some the of traditional practices and labels them “silly myths”.

I enjoyed reading the book and the feel like the home centered information is decently explained. But If I am to be honest, I was a bit put-off by the somewhat demeaning vibe towards those who may choose to use or believe in traditional tools like charms or crystals & some beliefs or practices in their own understanding of Feng Shui.

I researched different books/guides on tips and implementing feng shui for a good 2 hours and still couldn’t pick just one. I ordered this one “the minimalist way” & “decluttering at the speed of light” in the same order and this is the one that I picked up and didn’t want to skip pages, find what applied to me, felt like I needed to look up more detail about the things written about or even feel like I needed to get back on amazon and order all new decor or left me feeling as though I needed I couldn’t be in house because I’d been doing it all wrong. This book goes in order and gives you explanations of the terms and examples of every principle or suggestion without it being all testimonials. I read 62 pages before writing this review without stopping and only stopped because it was moving on from outdoor to indoor and gave me a place to stop and start applying the easy fix issues that get big results if maintained and done with intention. Just like the book said, I knew something was off about certain spaces and this book had me asking myself the questions the writer suggested and instantly getting the answers to the things that I’ve changed many times that have still never just felt that peace and balance that every place anyone calls home should feel like. I’m highlighting key points as I go through so I can reference later if needed. I can’t say enough great things about this book and the benefits it is bringing to myself, family and home mentally, physically and emotionally!
